I read this quote once that said something like this:
“We all have that one person that we are willing to wait on.”
The old me would give a standing ovation while screaming
“Yesss girl that’s Marcus. I will always wait on you boo!”
But the new and reformed version of myself simply does not agree. In fact, it does not sit right with my spirit. You should never have to wait for someone to decide if they want to be with you or not. In my opinion, they have already decided if the two of you are apart.
Now, I am a spiritual gangster and I believe in divine timing. Therefore, if someone enters your life it is for a divine reason. You are given the opportunity to rise up or walk away from the connection. I do not believe in the “right person, wrong time” narrative. The divine would never send you someone at the wrong time, it does not work that way! There are many people out there singing “I want that old thing back” while believing that a second chance is guaranteed.
If you find someone that you truly connect with, challenges you to grow, embraces sitting in vulnerability with you, and introduces you to a love that you have never experienced before; do not let them go. If you can see a future with this person it is likely because the divine aligned for them to actually be in your future. Stop allowing fear to create this false narrative of wrong timing.
I have been on both ends of this situation. I played the fool that walked away and the person the fool walked away from. I experienced the hurt of watching the person that I loved move on because I wanted to remain in this stagnate energy. I have also received those classic late night text message that read
“Hey big head.”
Listen to me, trust the divine. Your spirit guides know exactly what you need and want you to be happy. But they will also give you the freedom of choice.
So what is it going to be? Will you walk away? Or stare fear directly in the eyes and say:
“This connection scares me but I will be dammed if I let this person walk out of my life.”
