I have been holding back from all of you.
I was chatting with a close friend last night and he said
Kay why are you holding back? Give them everything. The raw and authentic version of yourself. Allow people to truly connect with you. Don’t hold back.

His words have swarmed in my head like angry bees. He is absolutely correct. I started this quest with hopes to connect with other souls through my stories. So, I must embark on this pursuit with bravery, resiliency, and uprightness. Now is not the time to play coy.
Honestly, I have not always made the best decisions especially when it comes to love. I have settled for less than I deserved, been in emotional abusive spaces, and struggled to see my worth. I do not have the picture perfect family and my childhood was like a Lifetime movie. As some of you may have gathered through my posts thus far. It is great to share the lessons but it also important to share the journey. The moments that did not feel the best, made me cry, and doubt myself. The truth is all of us have experienced moments that make us look back and think “what on earth was I thinking?”
Some choose to share their stories and others sit in silence feeling like their tribulations are isolated. I have chosen to share the good, bad, and the ugly of my life. This includes the lessons learned and the experiences that helped me grow. It also includes being my full spiritual, queer, and idiosyncratic self. I want to give voice to the pain and struggle so that we can celebrate together. Through my experiences I hope to normalize, empathize, foster healing, and urge self-reflection.
I am sending all of my supporters healing, uplifting, and encouraging energy.
